Art and color have been a focus of my life since I was young enough to hold a colored pencil. I’ve always loved doodling expressions in the margins of my textbooks, and I truly fell head over heels for art after discovering Copic markers and getting to play with color. Studying art at CMU gave me the tools to understand composition and structure in a formal light - and reminded me of how and when to break the rules!
I love vibrancy, contrast, and cranked up saturation, and I delight in tapping into the ways color can affect a viewer.
Featured in the abridged portfolio are works which highlight my approach to character design, color, and composition.
Several of these works feature characters from fandom spaces, including Critical Role, Danganronpa, The Magnus Archives, and Ghost Trick. Others highlight my original designs for personal projects like DnDMajor, an actual play podcast, and ShortOneGaming.
In addition to stand alone works, I’ve created storyboard and comics work in both creative and corporate environments, and I’ve developed the user experience and branding for several products and properties.
